History of Magic

History of Magic is a podcast devoted to sharing the real histories behind objects, symbols, and concepts that show up in western religious, magical, supernatural, and folkloric traditions. From rose quartz to rabbit’s feet, crystal balls to crystal skulls, we explore the historical record to learn where these ideas came from and how they have been appropriated, elevated, popularized, and changed over time.
